About This Event

In this episode we speak with Michael Chamberlain, the Vice President of Convening and Community Programs and Strategic Partnerships at Catalyst, the premier global nonprofit working with some of the world’s most powerful CEOs and leading companies to build workplaces that work for women. We discuss the importance of leasing inwardly to lead outwardly; the intersectionality of race, class, gender, and sexuality in the workplace, and what women really need and want in how we re-imagine our relationship to our careers.

About Michael

As Vice President, Community and Partnerships, Global Brand & Communications, at Catalyst, Michael is responsible for developing marketing partnerships and community engagement initiatives designed to empower Catalyst supporters, ensure mission effectiveness, and amplify critical messaging and best practices. Earlier in his Catalyst career, Michael established brand management as an essential function within the organization’s operating model and oversaw all global marketing and event efforts. Michael regularly represents Catalyst’s MARC (Men Advocating Real Change) program and serves as a speaker and content expert on topics such as allyship, engaging men in gender initiatives, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and accelerating progress for women in the workplace, and has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and is a content contributor for LinkedIn. Michael received his MBA in International Business Management from the University of Rhode Island, winning the Michael Roher Memorial Award for academic excellence and contributions toward the MBA program. He graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and French from the University of Rhode Island. Michael is currently a New York State delegate, and first male delegate, to Drexel University’s Vision 2020, a national coalition of organizations and individuals united in the commitment to achieve women’s economic and social equality. Michael was also a 2014 Aspen Ideas Festival Scholar.
