Description

In this episode, we speak with Suzanne Randolph, fine art advisor, on the importance of discovering beauty in our everyday surroundings, art appreciation, and how design activates and reinforces the healing impulse. We learn how the practice of visual arts advising has been disrupted in 2020, how digital experiences can still be rewarding, and how outdoor public spaces can be transformed into experiential, visual playgrounds to accommodate the current complexities of visiting galleries, museums and performances. Suzanne shares her thoughts on staying fresh, relevant and current in one’s career as well as how she’s maintained her own sense of creativity during this time.

About Suzanne

Suzanne Randolph has a well established well-established career as a fine art advisor working with corporations, public agencies and private clients to develop collections as well as managing the complex process of commissioning works of art for public places. Her clients are diverse and expansive, including Tiffany & Co, NYU Langone Mexican Center, Amex, Avon, Gracie Mansion Conversancy, and the MTA.

Through extensive solo international travel to art fairs and exhibitions, Suzanne recognized a lack of resources, which specifically addressed the challenges of executive woman traveling alone for business. The ALIX Experience was created with the expressed interest of building a global community of dynamic like-minded women who have the opportunity to come together in global cities through meaningful experiences centered on culture and cuisine.

Suzanne received an MBA in Design strategy from the California College of Arts in San Francisco, an innovative program that unites the perspectives of design thinking with sustainability, finance and entrepreneurship. She has served on the Board of Directors of several New York City based arts organizations and cultural institutions and is currently active on the board of the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers.
