Jennifer Owens is an editor and content strategist, advisor and advocate, board member and speaker. She tells powerful stories across digital, print, social and video platforms, creating content designed to grow audiences, engagement, and revenues.

Jennifer enjoys working with an array of diverse clients as well as her own products: The Breadwinners podcast and thePause women’s health newsletter.

She serves on the board of directors for ProCon.org, which presents opposing arguments to controversial issues; the advisory board for Gender Fair, which assesses companies and brands on their commitment to gender equity; and advisory board for Fairygodboss, the jobs site seeking and spotlighting the best employers for women.

Previously, she led digital strategy for HealthyWomen.org, the nation’s leading source for independent women’s health information; launched Spring.St, the place for smart women; and served as editorial director of Working Mother Media, reaching millions of women each month. In 2010 she founded the Working Mother Research Institute (WMRI), home to the Working Mother 100 Best Companies, Best Companies for Multicultural Women, Working Mother/Flex-Time Lawyers Best Law Firms for Women and the National Association of Female Executives Top 50 Companies.

Under her leadership, WMRI also published more than a dozen white papers studying the intersection of career and gender, including Breadwinning Moms, How We Flex and Caregivers Crisis.
