Will there be more babies or divorces post Covid-19? Many of us have laughed at this question in our own social circles, we know that the stress and strain of Covid is real. Given that our worlds have been turned upside down, living and working under one roof … with all family members negotiating space, household duties, and alone time … it’s no wonder that we may be seeing our spouses in a much different light. Is this truly what we signed up for when we said, “till death do us part?”
Escalating divorce rates are a real concern, but are divorces actually on the increase? How do we evaluate the tensions, misunderstandings, and arguments during this time? Are they simply the reflection of a small blimp in our relationship history, or do they mark dramatic differences and conflicts that can’t be resolved. In this episode we speak with Andrea Vacca, Owner of Vacca Family Law Group, to understand how Covid affects our marriages and when to pay attention to the red flags. Andrea discusses with us how to move forward in the most compassionate way possible when the decision is made to end a marriage without destroying their families, friendships, and shared networks.

About Andrea
Meredith Renquin graduated from Arizona State University summa com laude with a BA in Communication after working her way through college as a hair stylist. She relocated to New York City to attend law school. During her time at New York Law School, she was a member of the law review where her report on the 2002 AIDS Conference was published in the Journal of Rights. She went on to serve as a member of the Executive Board as a case comments editor. During her final Sumer of law school, Meredith was selected from a pool of approximately 5000 candidates into the Summer Law Intern Program at the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of New York in the Civil Division.
After law school, Meredith became a staff attorney at a major international law firm defending Fortune 500 companies in antitrust and securities matters. In 2008, she joined the law firm of Rutherford & Christie where she currently practices in general litigation.
