Speak Your Mind: Societal Change
Monday 6/29/20 | 4PM EST

About This Event

Twenty three percent less. That’s the number. Globally, women are paid 23% less than men. Domestically, the U.S. doesn’t fare much better. White women earn 81.6 cents for every dollar men, on average, earn. Black women earn 62 cents; and Latina women, 54 cents, to every dollar white men earn.

That is the fight, the external struggle for economic parity which is a difficult one, in the office and within the household. Often, women have an internal struggle as well. This struggle can tangled up with feelings of self-worth, how we assess our value, perhaps even whether or not we are deserving. And even when professional women rise in the ranks and earn more, sometimes even more than their significant others and spouses, the situation becomes even more complex.

Coupled with this is the fact that within the next three to four decades, there will be a massive transfer of wealth in the U.S., approximately $68 trillions will transfer via death of a spouse and/or inheritance. Women will be the main recipient. The time is now to become educated and get comfortable with our relationship to money.

We going to explore and untangle this relationship. Together, we will talk about steps you can take to question and update your money mindset.
